Morgoth!

This is the sculpted head I built the mask around. The clay is brittle so I layer the whole head in tin foil and duct tape, so it is really tough and will never fall apart.

Mask after many hours of stitching. Each beard hair was put in individually by hand. Whole beard probably took about 3 - 4 hours.

Starting to paint. Burlap looks so good once you start painting, it gives a lot of depth.

Morgoth fully painted. I used a heavy gloss around his mouth so that it looks wet with saliva. To give morgoth the final touch I made a bunch of heavy brass piercings from brass rods I got from the hobby shop.
